Q1: What is the difference between a hammer mill and a universal crusher?

A: Hammer Mill: Uses swinging hammers to impact and shatter materials. Best for brittle, low-fat, dry materials (grains, spices, sugar). Universal Crusher: Uses static and rotating blades for shearing and cutting. Better for fibrous, tough, or slightly oily materials (herbs, dried fruits, meat bones). We will recommend the suitable type.

Q2: How do I control the fineness of the powder?

A: The final particle size is primarily controlled by the screen mesh installed at the discharge. A smaller mesh size produces finer powder. The rotor speed and feed rate also influence the result.

Q3: Can it grind oily or high-moisture materials?

A: For moderately oily or sticky materials (like oilseeds or high-moisture herbs), a universal crusher with a water-cooling jacket and specially designed blades is recommended to prevent clogging. Extremely wet materials may require pre-drying.

Q4: Is it easy to clean and maintain?

A: Yes. The crushing chamber is easily accessible. Screens, hammers, and blades are designed for quick removal and replacement. Regular maintenance involves checking wear parts and lubrication.

Q5: What safety features are included?

A: Standard safety features include an interlocked cover that stops the machine when opened, an emergency stop button, and overload protection for the motor.

Q6: Do you provide a test with our own materials?

A: Yes, we welcome customers to send samples (5-10kg) to our facility for a free grinding test. We will report the output capacity, particle size distribution, and recommend the best model and settings.
